School Holiday Macrame Fun
This week 13 local children spent time at Big Sky Stories for some school holiday macrame making.
They brought nibble fingers, enthusiasm and creative spirits. First, they listened carefully to the instructions, watched and considered the process of turning rope into macrame, and then independently knotted their way to a creation.
While they all got to take their creations home, the finished object wasn’t the only important aspect of the morning. Engaging in creative activities like this enable us to nurture our imaginations and develop our problem solving, communication and fine motor skills. Learning to persevere also helps.
The children’s feedback indicates that a fun time was had and the call for more macrame activities at Big Sky Stories has been heard loud and clear!
